E-commerce Marketing

E-commerce growth that scales profitably, not just loudly.

Traffic alone doesn't build an e-commerce business — profitable unit economics do. I run the full stack across SEO, paid social, Google Shopping, email flows, and CRO, engineered around CAC, LTV, and contribution margin.

§ 01 — Industry Brief

What makes E-commerce & D2C marketing different

E-commerce is a system, not a channel. The bottleneck is usually conversion rate or repeat-purchase rate, not traffic. Smart brands fix the leaks before pouring more spend into ads — that's what makes their unit economics work at scale.

Rising CAC, falling margins

iOS privacy changes broke attribution; CPM inflation broke pricing. Survival depends on stronger LTV, not cheaper acquisition.

Conversion rate optimization

Going from 1.5% to 3% doubles revenue without spending an extra rupee. Most stores have 10-20 high-impact CRO opportunities sitting in their analytics.

Repeat purchase as the real game

One-time buyers don't build a brand. Email flows, post-purchase nurture, and subscription mechanics are where durable margins live.

§ 02 — Services

§ 03 — Channel Mix

The right channel mix for E-commerce & D2C

Not every channel works in every sector. Here's where to focus budget for the strongest return in your industry.

ChannelWhy it matters in E-commerce & D2C
Meta Ads D2C growth engine. Advantage+ shopping campaigns, broad targeting + strong creative.
Google Shopping + PMax Captures purchase-intent. Feed optimization does half the work.
Klaviyo email flows Owned channel, no auction. 30-40% of revenue for stores that build flows properly.
SEO Collection page authority + blog content compounds. 20-40% of revenue for established stores.
TikTok / short-form Spark Ads on UGC. Creative-first; products that demo well in 15s scale fast.
Affiliate + influencer Performance-based partnerships. Micro-influencer seeding beats most paid 'influencer deals' at 1/10 cost.

02

Tracking & feed

GA4 + Pixel + CAPI + Merchant Center feed. Server-side tracking where iOS attribution is broken.

03

Channel launch

Meta + Google Shopping live with clean account structure and real creative rotation.

04

Klaviyo flow library

8+ flows: welcome, abandoned cart, browse, post-purchase, winback, replenishment.

05

CRO iteration

Monthly A/B tests on product pages, checkout, offers. Conversion climbs while spend stays flat.

06

§ 06 — Questions

E-commerce & D2C FAQ

What's a healthy ROAS for e-commerce?
Depends on margin. Low-margin commodities need 4-6x. Higher-margin categories (beauty, accessories) work at 2-3x. The right answer is whatever keeps CAC below 1/3 of LTV.
Do you work with Shopify only or other platforms?
Primarily Shopify (best app ecosystem, fast launch). Also WooCommerce, BigCommerce. For very large stores or complex B2B flows, I'll recommend the right platform honestly.
How fast can you scale my store from ₹5L to ₹25L/mo?
Realistic range is 4-9 months IF unit economics support it. The bottleneck is rarely marketing — it's operations, inventory, and repeat-rate.
Will Klaviyo really do 30% of revenue?
With properly built flows — welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, winback — yes. Takes 60-90 days to ramp. Without flows, most stores see 5-10%; with flows, 25-35%.
Can you handle creative production too?
I write briefs and creative direction, manage testing framework. For production (photo, video, design), I partner with trusted freelancers or work with your in-house team.
